The Hershey Company is rolling out Hershey's Creme Bars at participating retailers, introducing two filled-chocolate varieties — Salted Caramel and Affogato — that lean into flavor profiles already driving growth across the broader confection category. Both SKUs ship in a 2.2 oz standard bar and an 8.4 oz snack-size pouch, giving c-store operators a single-serve grab-and-go option alongside a resealable multipack suited for the cooler or impulse rack.

The Flavors

Salted Caramel delivers a milk-chocolate shell over a caramel-flavored creme filling, playing to the sweet-salty balance that has become a reliable impulse trigger at the forecourt. Affogato goes a step further with a dual-layer filling — espresso-flavored caramel beneath a sweet vanilla creme — borrowing directly from coffeehouse culture. That positioning puts the SKU squarely in line with the dispensed-beverage flavor trends c-store operators have been chasing on the hot-beverage bar, now translated into a confection format.

The Campaign

To drive trial, Hershey's is backing the launch with a campaign featuring KATSEYE, a multi Grammy-nominated global girl group with a devoted Gen Z fan base. The partnership repurposes the group's signature "Pinky Up" gesture as a brand-aligned signal of personal choice — an attempt to turn a routine candy-bar purchase into a shareable moment on social platforms where younger c-store shoppers spend significant time. Sampling events and pop-up experiences are planned for fall 2026, and Hershey's has also secured a co-marketing arrangement with Uber to reach consumers who are already out and mobile.

"This Hershey's Creme Bar launch is more than introducing a new chocolate bar," said Katrina Vatter, Senior Brand Manager at The Hershey Company. "From the trend-forward flavors to our partnership with KATSEYE, Hershey's Creme Bars were designed to inspire discovery, self-expression, and shareable moments."

Channel Relevance

Confection remains one of the most consistent inside-sales performers in the convenience channel. Chocolate bars rank among the top impulse categories at the point-of-sale, and flavor innovation — particularly around premium or coffeehouse-inspired profiles — has been a reliable traffic driver as operators compete with QSR and specialty coffee formats for the morning and afternoon daypart. The Affogato variety in particular gives category managers a talking point that bridges the candy aisle and the dispensed-beverage program. Hershey's broad distribution footprint, spanning more than 85 brands sold in approximately 65 countries, means retail placement conversations for Creme Bars will happen at scale quickly. Operators weighing the SKU should note that retailer pricing is at their discretion, and the 8.4 oz pouch format may suit both single-store operators and larger chains looking to merchandise near the checkout or on a dedicated candy and snack endcap.
