The Fall Dispensed-Beverage Push
7-Eleven, Inc. is leaning hard into fall dispensed-beverage traffic this year, debuting a three-format pumpkin coffee lineup across more than 12,000 participating 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes stores in the U.S. and Canada beginning August 27. The rollout covers every daypart and purchase occasion — hot fountain, iced cold brew, and grab-and-go bottle — a deliberate play to capture the same customer across multiple trips rather than cede any one format to QSR competitors.
The hot Pumpkin Cappuccino anchors the self-serve coffee bar, pairing pumpkin notes with a creamy finish. The Pumpkin Brulee iced cold brew latte brings seasonal flavor to the cold-dispensed set. Rounding out the lineup is the bottled 7-Select Pumpkin Spice Iced Cappuccino, available in a limited-time two-for-$5.50 promotional price through October 27 — a value bundle designed to lift basket size and drive repeat purchases through the loyalty-member base, which now tops 100 million members across 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards.
The Hanks Collab
The bigger brand story sits alongside the private-label offering. Hanks For Our Troops, the consumer products company founded by actor Tom Hanks that directs 100% of profits to veterans' foundations, is debuting two exclusive SKUs at participating 7-Eleven locations: Hanks Pumpkin Brulee Coffee, a hot self-serve option that pairs pumpkin with toasted vanilla, and Hanks Chocolate Turtle, available in both coffee pods and new 12-ounce ground coffee bags. The ground bag format is notable — it extends the c-store's reach into at-home preparation and competes directly with grocery coffee sets, a category c-stores have historically underplayed.
Brandon Brown, Senior Vice President of Fresh Foods and Beverages at 7-Eleven, Inc., framed the launch as a direct response to documented seasonal demand. "Customers wait all year for pumpkin season," Brown said, "and this year we wanted to give them even more of the flavors they love." The Hanks partnership also adds a cause-marketing dimension that can drive incremental traffic from loyalty members motivated by charitable tie-ins.
Bakery Add-On
On the foodservice and bakery side, 7-Eleven is introducing the Midnight in Dubai Cookie — a pistachio cream-filled, dark-chocolate cookie topped with crispy kadayif (shredded wheat pastry), riffing on a viral global confection that has gained traction in specialty bakeries and on social platforms. Pairing a trending bakery item with the coffee launch is a calculated attach-sale strategy: dispensed-beverage customers with a cookie in hand drive higher ticket averages and signal to operators that the back-of-house bakery program can punch above its weight in fall.
The broader competitive context is worth noting. Pumpkin spice remains the single most powerful seasonal flavor driver in convenience foodservice, outperforming limited-time offers in most other flavor categories during Q3 and Q4 according to industry tracking. With major QSR chains and grocery chains all fielding pumpkin programs simultaneously, c-store operators have found that speed-of-service, price, and loyalty integration — not flavor novelty alone — determine share of seasonal traffic. The two-for-$5.50 bundle and the 7NOW delivery app availability together address all three levers.
All offers run through October 27 at participating locations.
